Quartets

The Pine Tones

The Pine Tones were formed in 2000, and  have been singing on the mountain since that time, entertaining at birthday parties, employee recognition days, Saint Patrick's Day celebrations, and delivering Singing Valentines. Tenor Everett Peterson teaches at Blue Ridge Elementary School; Lead Lloyd Lange is a retired Human Resources Manager; Bass Doc Dockendorf is a retired Quality Manager; and Baritone Ivan Mahaydik is a retired Power Company Superintendent. If you would like to arrange to have the Pine Tones sing at your function, call (928) 537-2392.

Crook's Trail

Crook’s Trail has been singing as a quartet since 2004. Currently singing Lead is Bob Cutlipp. Bob has been a barbershopper since the mid 70’s. He has previously sung with the Tucson and Scottsdale chapters, and has been with the High Country Chorus since 2002. He serves as Pastor to the Holbrook and Winslow United Methodist Churches , and as Chaplain for several law enforcement agencies in the area. Our Tenor is Bill Stephens who is new to barbershop music, but performed professionally as a recording studio singer and backup singer for twenty years. He then left the music field and worked as a businessman until three years ago, when he retired and moved to Show Low. He decided to give barbershop music a try after hearing the 2008 chorus concert, and was immediately snagged by Crook’s Trail! Larry Kennedy sings Bass. He is a retired Marine, and a retired airline pilot, whose only previous vocal “training” came from singing at happy hour after several beers! Rich Hall (baritone) has sung in choirs since the age of 9. He enjoys almost all types of music and will participate in just about any kind of singing. He has served in the Navy, been an engineer for a major computer company, and currently teaches at-risk teens at an alternative school in rural Arizona .
