That was the cost to present the 2009 annual show (Sentimental Journey) by the High Country Barbershop Chorus
That covered fees for out of town featured performers (quartets and chorus), rental of the auditorium, any special set or costume items, advertising, purchase of the music scores and performance rights, and more. The chorus budget does not support any paid staff, so there are no salaries involved in Chorus expenses.
The High Country Barbershop Chorus celebrates 10 years in the White Mountains in 2010. Each year the Chorus presents a show in mid-July, and each year we have been told by those leaving the auditorium "best show ever!"
In order continue this trend, the Chorus needs to attract new members, provide music education to the chorus members (through Harmony University attendance), update uniforms and costumes as appropriate, and obtain the "tools" to put on a great show. Currently, we hope to add to the "tools" by obtaining sound equipment so that everyone at the show hears clearly.
Your support, in the form of tax-deductible donations or purchase of program advertising, is critical to the High Country Chorus' mission of presenting an "ever better" annual show each year.

The High Country Barbershop Chorus annual show has become a tradition for many White Mountains residents each year, as well as for many visitors who travel to the area in July, partially to see the show. Through the support of businesses and individual sponsors, the Chorus can continue to improve the "product" each year.
Contributors are sponsors for the period between the day after the annual show prior to the donation to the day of the next annual show.
The Chorus is a 501(c)(3) organization and as a result makes part of your contribution tax deductible.
Your financial support is greatly appreciated.
