The Pine Trails Quartet members of the High Country Barbershop Chorus, sang for managers and staff at the Taylor Walmart store May 22. Store manager Mr Justin Johnson and assistant manager Gwen Story presented a $500 check to the chorus in support and their programs for a second year. Show Low, AZ., Walmart Store Grant
Walmart Grants – Walmart Stores in both Show Low and Taylor Arizona have been outstanding supporters of the High Country Barbershop Chorus in the past. In May, 2019, the chorus received another grant from the Show Low store, and we were able to get some photos this time.
Walmart, Show Low presented a Grant Check of $1,000 to the High Country Barbershop Chorus on Saturday May 3rdin recognition and support of their Harmony Music Shows and their financial support of the choral music programs in area schools. The Chorus’ Pine Trails Quartet sang several harmony songs for the Walmart Department Managers at their regular Friday morning meeting. Following the Managers meeting, Alayna Neff, Department Manager of the Garden Center and Mike Oddo, Store Manager came forward to present a check to the 2019 Chorus President Duane Krause. Pictured here L to R front row are Store Manager Mike Oddo, Alayna Neff, Walmart Community Coordinator, Duane Krause, Chorus President. Back Row, Everett Peterson, James Burden, Director Emeritus “Doc” Dockendorf, and Tom Wallis of the Pine Trails Quartet. Later the quartet sang to shoppers and sang a special “Happy Birthday” to Customer Service employee Vicki. The chorus often sings Christmas songs to shoppers at the Walmart Show Low and Snowflake stores.
